Hi, I’m Daniel from Kitchen Warehouse UK Limited and today I’d like to show you our soft closing hinges. This unit has been fitted with our soft closing hinges so as you can see it’s soft closing for the final 30 degrees. This is also self-closing for the final 30 degrees as well.

One of the big advantages to these hinges is how it is made. It has got an oil fill piston that is a secret piston hidden inside the hinge and because it’s a piston it also means that you can’t slam these doors which is a nice added touch really to them.

So here is one of the hinges. So as you can see the stainless steel hinge, the quite nice quality of hinge. It has got a quick release so on the back here you lift that up and it does release the back out and then when you want to put it back together there are two hooks and two hooks, hook the hooks on, push it back together and you’ll hear it click. So that’s how you release them and you hook them back together, you click it back together.

So inside the hinge is the soft closing piston. As you can see it’s a nice steady constant movement and this is what makes it self-closing as well as soft closing. In my opinion, these Hettich hinges are the best hinges on the UK market and that is why we use them on our kitchens.
