This wasn’t just about a new kitchen: it was making a new living space in our home with a garage conversion too. It was a project that had been a long time in the planning. I knew that we had to get it right and having the right units and finish were crucial to the ultimate success of the room. We had shopped around and priced up kitchens over many years but had settled on Kitchen Warehouse Ripon early on in our search for their straight forward no nonsense approach. None of the pushy up selling that all the other kitchen suppliers do. So when the project began it was easy to pop along to meet with Dan and go through the fine tuning of the order. He was so patient and forgiving at having to review the order from scratch when it was realised that some of the measurements were out and the kitchen plan would need rejigging.
I wanted a clean modern look that would not date. The slab front acrylic units were perfect. I already had a clear vision of the look I wanted to achieve: cool, calm, modern but elegant and individual. I had my palette choice sorted, fabrics, paints etc but it was the kitchen that would make or break the finish. I had ben inclined to the Glacier blue but worried that I would get bored of the colour in time, so white would be the next obvious safe choice. I feared that that would be a bit bland and boring....I wanted a more individual look, so the soft grey ( a warm fawny grey , not a cold blue grey) was the perfect choice with white wall units. Grey being the modern neutral, my colour options in the future remain open.
I wanted a Max Top worktop and had scoured the internet for the best prices on product and delivery. Dan was very obliging in price matching the competitors which meant I didn’t have to worry about arranging a delivery slot from another supplier amidst the building work. The kitchen was delivered on time as arranged with the utmost help and courtesy. When the building work threw out the fit of one of the units our joiner was able to cut the unit down to size to fit with no drama or hassle.
I am thrilled with the finished result. It has transformed our home and family life just as I hoped that it would. The budget for the whole project was very tight and I couldn’t afford to blow cash on unnecessary extravagances but had to balance this with getting a quality finish and product. This could never have been achieved without Kitchen Warehouse Ripon. I highly recommend them. Their strengths are offering a good quality product at a very competitive price with a straight forward honest no-nonsense approach. They don’t pretend to be other than what they are: honest no-fuss sellers, suppliers and fitters of a wide range of quality kitchens to fit all budgets and aspirations. They couldn’t be more obliging. I now have the top end looking kitchen of my dreams that I can share and enjoy with friends and family safe in the knowledge that I haven’t paid over the odds.
