Tall Corner Wall Unit

Most kitchens won’t offer enough storage with base units alone, which is why you need to utilise the wall space above them, too. Some kitchens have more wall space to work with than others, so why not take advantage of higher ceilings by installing tall kitchen wall cabinets for even more storage?

Tall kitchen cabinets with a slim design offer a luxurious style, especially if they reach up to the ceiling. Whilst tall kitchen units that are wide are perfect for use as a larder or dinnerware cabinet, offering a generous amount of space to organise your favourite dry foodstuffs or plates and bowls.

Tall kitchen wall units are also a great choice for statement kitchens, where only one wall has a run of upper cabinets. They turn your wall cupboards into a feature, rather than being secondary to the base units. The extra shelf space means there’ll be less surface clutter on your kitchen counters, too.

Why order tall kitchen wall units from Kitchen Warehouse?

There are lots of possible kitchen cabinet configurations on the market, and Kitchen Warehouse supplies a great selection. Among these are 900mm tall kitchen wall units, available in a range of widths from 300mm up to 1200mm, so you can order just the right size for your kitchen.

Not only do we provide a variety of sizes, but you’ll also have your pick of colours and finishes. Whether it’s glacier white gloss, marine blue matt, or pink painted wood, we have something for everyone – and our tall kitchen wall cabinets are no different. Be sure to browse the Kitchen Warehouse website to find your favourite shades that will suit your kitchen’s colour scheme.

Our extra tall wall cabinets are made from durable 18mm chipboard with 2mm lipping to protect the visible edges. Each tall wall unit contains three shelves, though the surface area and height will differ depending on the width you choose. The more storage space you have, the easier it will be to keep your kitchen tidy and functional – just as it needs to be for preparing meals and socialising.

Tall Kitchen Wall Unit FAQs

What are the benefits of tall kitchen wall units?

Though tall kitchen wall units have the disadvantage of being harder to reach for shorter people, it’s easy enough to access the top shelves with a step-stool. There are plenty of benefits that outweigh this minor drawback, such as taking up vertical space for storage rather than expanding around the room on the ground. This makes tall cabinets a great choice for kitchens with limited floor space.

Increasing storage space is never a bad thing, as most kitchens are filled with too much clutter with nowhere to go. Having extra shelf space up top is a versatile solution, and you can even make it into a statement feature by leaving the doors off. This is an excellent opportunity to get creative and make an open shelving display for aesthetically appealing items like porcelain plates or ceramics.

Additionally, if it’s a family kitchen with young children running about, it’s a good idea to store things you don’t want them to touch out of their reach, such as kitchen equipment or fragile crockery.

Which kitchen wall cabinet sizes are available?

We don’t just stock tall kitchen wall units here at Kitchen Warehouse. We know that every kitchen is different, with varying wall lengths and ceiling heights, so we provide as wide a range of sizes and styles as possible. This includes our standard kitchen wall units at 720mm high, in widths from 150mm to 1200mm, and low kitchen wall units at 575mm (these may only have two shelves inside).

Should you need an extra tall corner wall unit to join two runs together, we also offer units that are 900mm in height. Of course, there are also standard corner wall units and low height corner wall units for those kitchens with less wall space. We also have top box units with lift-up cabinet doors, perfect for making the most of those smaller spaces above appliances like fridge freezers or ovens.

Do you sell any other tall kitchen units?

If you’re looking to fit out your kitchen fully using tall cabinets, then Kitchen Warehouse has you covered. We supply tall kitchen corner wall units to help you get the most out of your corner space, plus tall kitchen larder units to create tower kitchen storage from the floor up. These are 2150mm high, but they come with adjustable legs that allow you to increase the height by 150mm.

The majority of our base units may be a standard height of 720mm, but they do come with 150mm adjustable legs, allowing you to raise the cabinet to 870mm if needed. If you do make your base units taller this way, you can hide the gap between the bottom of the cabinet and the floor by ordering a custom plinth or panel in a matching colour and finish to achieve a more seamless look.
