Corner wall units are the perfect space-saving option when you need to use all the available floor and wall space in your kitchen.

Keep your kitchen clutter free and store your extra plates, cups and other kitchen equipment out of the way while ensuring you can quickly get to them when needed.

Not only do they add extra storage, but a corner wall unit can also help improve the look and style of your kitchen by removing unsightly gaps between units.

For kitchens, large or small, corner wall units are ideal for a clutter-free, aesthetically pleasing space.

Why would you need low kitchen wall units?

If you’ve got a low-ceiling kitchen, installing high-wall units might not be practical. Or, if you’ve got a smaller kitchen, you’ll need all the storage you can get to keep clutter to a minimum.

Low kitchen wall units provide precisely what you need when you’re trying to keep your kitchen space clean and tidy while ensuring you make the most of every square inch.

By matching your kitchen wall units to the colour of your appliances or furniture, you can create a crisp and pleasing space or add some variety with contrasting colours to put your personality into your cooking area.

Benefits of low height corner wall units

Low-height corner wall units make the perfect addition to your kitchen when you need to make the most of all the space you have to store equipment or food out of the way.

Say goodbye to a pesky blind corner you can’t reach, and turn your low-height corner unit into a ‘magic corner’ using our three-quarter carousel to make accessing your low-wall unit much more effortless.

You’ll soon find that daily life is much smoother when you have that extra bit of smart storage, and you can access whatever you choose to keep there in seconds.

Low-height corner wall units can make your kitchen look more appealing by removing dead space and creating a more streamlined, consistent look.

How do I choose the right low corner wall unit?

Which low corner wall unit you choose will depend mainly on the style and feel you want from your kitchen, and there are plenty of options.

Mix and match your cabinet unit and doors to create a consistent colour scheme, or go for something different with contrasting colours and finishing to bring some personality to your cooking and entertaining space.

Measuring your low corner wall unit couldn’t be easier, either.

Measure the length of the space where you’ll install your units, then pick the number of units you’ll need to fit the space.

We offer most of our kitchen units in various sizes, so you can easily match the correct width and height of cabinet you need.

If you’re not sure what you need, you can get in touch, and we’ll be able to help.

Why order low corner wall units from Kitchen Warehouse?

We strive to give our customers as much choice as possible when designing their dream kitchen, which is why we offer a range of kitchen corner units. For smaller kitchens, especially those with lower ceilings, we supply low-height corner units that are 575mm tall.

While a standard corner wall unit is 720mm high, this can be too tall for some kitchens with limited wall space. We don’t want to leave any kitchen out when providing well-fitting wall units, so we’ll gladly supply these shorter corner wall cabinets with practicality and style.

Low Corner Wall Unit FAQs

What are low height corner wall units made from?

Depending on your kitchen's ceiling height and layout, these low corner cabinets could be the ideal fit. While corner cupboards tend to be used less frequently than others, they still need to be durable – so we use strong 18mm Egger MFC (melamine-faced chipboard).

At Kitchen Warehouse, we thoroughly test all our products to ensure that we provide only the highest quality to our valued customers. You can opt to have your low corner wall units manufactured to match any of our beautiful kitchen ranges, including solid wood and gloss acrylic. The superb craftsmanship and quality materials that create all our kitchen units will ensure that your low kitchen wall cabinets can withstand the wear and tear of daily life.

Should you decide to opt for a solid wood kitchen, you can rest assured that we use only Grade A+ solid oak to produce our kitchen doors.

Be sure to look through our full range of kitchen cabinets to find the style and colourway you prefer. Most of our designs are available in 600mm deep corner units with a 300mm door or diagonal corner units for a smoother transition and easier access.

Can I have a carousel fitted in a low kitchen corner wall unit?

To make the most of your low kitchen corner wall unit storage space, we can fit it with a carousel. Often referred to as a ‘Lazy Susan’, a cabinet carousel keeps all your low kitchen corner wall unit contents well organised and within easy reach.

Carousels are fitted with two or three shelves rotating around a central pole. Low kitchen corner wall units may better suit the two-shelf carousel option. Each of the shelves can be operated independently for ease of use and are fully height adjustable. This means that your taller items, such as condiments and oil bottles, will be housed easily.

Can I have pull-out storage installed in a low corner wall unit?

Pull-out storage could be the ideal solution if you’d like to keep your crockery in your low kitchen corner wall unit. We can install low corner wall units with pull-out storage solutions so that it’s much easier to reach items at the back of your cabinet.

Pull-out storage in your low kitchen corner wall units will mean that your cereal bowls, plates, or whatever you choose to store in your low corner cabinets will be easily accessible.

As with the carousel option, pull-out storage shelves are fully height adjustable to accommodate items of varying sizes. We also provide the option of an anti-slip coating, which will prevent crockery from sliding around when the shelves are opened.

What are blind corners in kitchens?

Corners are often the loneliest spots in any room, as they’re an awkward space to fill. In kitchens, when wall units or base units meet at a corner, this is often referred to as a blind corner cabinet. It’s called a ‘blind corner’ because the inside of the cupboard is deep, dark, and difficult to reach.

Most people use these spaces to store rarely-used kitchen equipment, like excess plastic containers or that toastie maker they were gifted a few Christmases ago then forgot about. Essentially, things that you won’t be blindly reaching into the back of the cupboard to retrieve very often, if at all.

How to make the most of corner kitchen units?

The best way to optimise a kitchen corner and avoid the problems of a blind corner cabinet is to use a diagonal wall unit. This kind of cupboard gives you more room to add efficient mechanisms that make it much easier to access whatever you store up there – even if it’s just a simple Lazy Susan.

What types of kitchen corner units are there?

In addition to low corner units, we also offer standard corner units (720mm high) and tall corner units (900mm high) so that you can find the best possible fit for your ceiling height. Of course, we provide corner base units for lower runs and wall units for upper runs, with adjustable legs.

Kitchen Warehouse generally supplies 600mm corner, 300mm door units and diagonal corner units for wall and base installations. If you prefer, leave the doors off to create an open display corner unit, encouraging you to keep the shelves organised, so they don’t look untidy.

We also supply top boxes and bi-fold units at Kitchen Warehouse, allowing you to make the most of the space around the walls and squeeze some valuable extra storage into the overlooked areas.
